Arsenic and old lace...

No, I'm not talking about another genious movie featuring Cary Grant, but, as I was writing this post about the most wanted item at the moment, the idea just came into my mind. Ah...what can I say...You all know I have a thing for crazy&lovely quotes/lyrics/titles ♥
 
Lace. We all love it because we picture chic scarfs, old-fashioned wedding gowns, little cute gloves. No doubt, this fabric has become in the last centuries a symbol of feminine style. You can't take your eyes of it, whenever you see it on a catwalk.

Hence, I was so happy to see that this season we can spot such an enormous amount of white lace! It's everywhere, from Vogue covers, Miss Pandora's blog,  to little boutiques. But one thing really caught my eyes, the white lace dress, reinvented in so many ways by Domenico and Stefano at Dolce&Gabbana. I know I know, I'll keep dreaming and I will just pray to find someday my dream dress, with fancy touches and embroidered little flowers!

Monday Muse/ Model Profile

I hope everyone had an amazing Easter! Sadly, there is school waiting for me so soon but that doesn't mean I shouldn't keep my columns updated. It's a lovely Monday and I feel my muse for today is...Sasha Pivovarova!

Her beauty is flawless, she is famous for being the image of Prada for 6 seasons but what really brought me into this? I received the April issue of Vogue Paris and she simply GLOWS in the "Green Girls" editorial. Also, Sasha has some strong oppinions in choosing her way of living , therefore she's been a vegetarian since she was 12! I found this quote which I simply had to share:

Hello lovely & fashionable people! I missed you all, but my holiday has been full so far and I wasn't being able to post anything here.

Still, I brought some new things to the blog like it's own Facebook page. So, please like us on facebook if you haven't got the chance yet!

Anyways, I've been studying hard and discovered some interresting settings for my camera so I present you a whole lot of pictures in high quality featuring all the jewerly I've been buying in the past few months.

I woke up and went to the window. Raining as always...Why on Earth it's still this HORRIBLE weather in April? Not to mention I quite spend all my pocket money on taxis everyday because my little Balmain umbrella can't face such a non-stoping storm.

And still..what was good at this day? I checked my mail and saw that the lovely Alice from Alice&Sara-"Dulapul bunicii" wrote me that I should be receving my prize today. What prize you may wonder. Well, the amazing ladies thought they should organise a GIVEAWAY on Nookie's blog, which happens to be one of my favourites!

When I entered, I was 100% sure I wasn't going to win because, well... I'm not lucky at these kind of things so imagine how stupefied and happy I was when I picked the package today!!!

What did I receive? A funky/rock/urban chic headband which I'm gonna post in a few days and some feather earrings! And the thing that I loved most is that they're handmade and with such a high quality!

I wrote in one of my previous posts that I own a unique brand new peacock but I wasn't sure how to emphasize until few hours ago, when I saw these amazing accesories and I just think they were meant to be together, I mean, worn together, don't you think so???

Garance Doré is an amazing blogger and photograph, I am sure you all know! Anna Dello Russo herself discovered her blog and started to invite her at different fashion events. Well, Garance has recently posted on her blog her latest colaboration with Anna, for Vogue Nippon to be exact.

She geniously ilustrated "My Prints Charming" , among with the stylist Viviana Volpicella.  The model is Bianca Balti and I felt in love with this particular photo, where she is dressed in an AMAZING Jill Sander dress!

Feeling all girlie like!!!

So sorry for my lack of posts, but I had some really rough days, and it all culminated with a very difficult exam. Anyways, I'm so happy it's almost holiday time!!!!!
Naturally, you get bored studying on and on so I took couple of photos in a break which really show my current mood. I feel like dressing up in pastels, dancing on fluffy clouds and being admired for my allure, by Nina Ricci. Yess, I could say that Nina Ricci's perfume line is DIVINE, also the cremes which really make my skin glow!
This post also reveals my secret love for cute little girlie things like the antique cristal lotus or my ballerina shaped accesory hanger.

Monday Muse: Miuccia Prada

No need to say more about my Miu Miu obsession and praises about Prada's spring collection. Miuccia always knows how to reinvent the brand, and still keeping the same classical, unique Prada style.  She is truly an inspiration, a legendary fashion woman! It was so hard for me to even select a representative quote so I decided to post a couple of my favourites:

POP COLORS-shoes!

We all know from the catwalks, Vogue's, Style.com that HYPER COLOR is a massive trend for this season! In fact, I previously wrote about this if I remember right!

But this post, it's all about emphasizing a specific colorblock item: THE SHOES. That's right! Picture this: you are all dressed in creme, white, ivory , all feminine and you suddenly pop with some colored shoes! Or when you wear already a vivacious outfit you would attract the looks even more by wearing some funky coloured shoes!

They're so full of life, these shoes, and each pair tells a different story, they give you this certain allure of rebel/chic/funky/daring. However you think at this aspect,  you'll only end up by dreaming of a pair yourself, that if you can walk in those, of course!

Sadly, I only own a pair of flats, and I wore them the last whole spring but I'm not giving up on this idea! Call me crazy, but I   decided to dellay the plans of raising founds for a new camera so I can buy some precious POP colors shoes! You know, it's like that thing that a known person said once "Money doesn't buy you happiness, but I can buy candy with money which is basically the same thing". Same applies to me in some matter,s it's only we're talking about shoes!

Counting all different ideas drifting away!

 Just as simple as that! Saturday was, over here, the warmest weather in a while (although it's April and I was suposed to wear T-shirts already!) so I decided to go for a walk in a..skirt! That's right, I don't really wear skirts during winter and I've missed that. I chose a creme blouse, creme skirt but how to dress the top? I suddenly remeberred the lovely jacket I bought from Zara in august 2010, because I had a feeling the floral trend won't just dissapear in text few season. It just made the whole outfit to come to a shape, don't you think so?

I constantly look and admire the fashionable people all around the blogosphere. One by one, they started with not many labelled clothes but now their passion and their style has been rewarded. Latest trends, latest shows, being a successful blogger and having a little luck gives you this pretty power and I really admire them from the deep of my heart for being able to achieve this!
But then there are fashion bloggers like me. Freshmen. I dream high, I get inspired by the people that had an amazing impact and revolutionized the fashion industry, and they're one of the reasons I keep doing this, because they're the constant reminder that some will succeed!
Then it would be the OBSESSION itself. How does your heart beats when you hear Anna Dello Russo has over 4000 pairs of shoes? My first thought was something like "When did she start to collect them? If I were in her house, would I get to see 2002 Prada shoes?" I want to say all my oppinions out loud, about models, editorials, magazines, JUST EVERYTHING. It's such a creative world, the fashion world and it gives me hope, inspiration and strenght to go on!My outfits speak,  I dream pieces esembled toghether that would make a statement, I try to picture how is the life of fashion editors or streetstyle photographers.
Let's not forget the feedback! It doesn't necessarilly feeds my ego, it assures me I made the right decission sharing my life online, offering entire hours of my life to make this right. Can you imagine that Alix (CherryBlossomGirl)'s blog was seen by Karl Lagerfeld and since then she is invited to Chanel shows?
